“I studied Fine Art at Harrogate school of art, and then went on to Guildford school of art and design where I studied photography. After I left Guildford I became a professional photographer and remained in that profession for most of my working life apart from a short period when I worked as a silk screen printer. I retired from full time photography a few years ago and it was then that I started to paint again. The influence of photography has played a large part in my paintings and to a great extent I still think in photographic terms. I have found inspiration in the work of both painters and photographers.
I now live on a boat in Thorne, where I continue to paint and take photographs”.
